Welcome to Abbot's Webpage

Hello! You've found Abbot Henderson's webpage. I first created this site in 2008 back when it housed my mythology page. I always intended to further develop this page into something better, but for various reason (my ignorance of CSS being one) that never happened. As it stands now, the page is still under development but is heading in the right direction at last! The goal is to make this page a hub for various projects on which I am currently working.

Greco-Roman Mythology

My mythology page is Mythologia Illustrata (dot com). Feel free to check it out! It can also be found at Illustrated Mythology (dot com). The goal of this project is to create a complete illustration of all of Greco-Roman mythology. I decided to start with the House of Thebes (rather than the creation myths, for example) because of the difficulty. The House of Thebes has an array of confusing elements such as conflicting legends, multiple founding myths, and disputed lineages... so I figure that if I can successfully pull off this story, the rest will be less daunting. I have been working on it for years and I am finally reaching a comfortable pace. Hopefully I will be finished with Thebes soon so I can move on to another corner of the mythological world.

The Henchmen

My other upcoming project is the superhero parody, The Henchmen. This is an idea that has been brewing since at least 2004, when my friend James roped me into doing a comic book. Sketches and thumbnails were done, but the project eventually stalled. I plan on resurrecting it soon, so keep an eye out for it.
